If you’re running a startup around the Sui blockchain, there’s some good news for you. SuiHub Global Accelerator Program, freshly launched, is ready to give these businesses a leg-up. You stand to win up to $200,000, and also some essential tech and marketing support, especially if you’ve got an early-stage product that uses tokens.
Now, you might be asking – what sort of projects are they looking for? Well, they want projects that can address real-world needs and can grow big, while also fitting well with what the Sui blockchain can do. If your project gets in, you’ll receive the funding in bits and pieces as you hit certain development milestones. While SuiHub is ready to fund and support your project, they will also own a piece of it.
If your dream is to make a mark in the Middle East and North Africa, it’s even better, because that’s what SuiHub is focusing on. Sui is partnered with Ghaf Group, a Dubai-based private capital firm pretty savvy about Web3 tech, for this venture. This partner will give you strategic advice on fundraising, marketing, and tokenomics through its Ghaf Studios. One of the founders of Mysten Labs, creators of the Sui network, said that the accelerator program is all about nurturing an ecosystem where kick-ass ideas can benefit from excellent mentoring and resources.
But Ghaf Group is not the only partner you’ll be working with. Brinc, a venture capital firm based in Hong Kong, will lend a hand with partnerships and business expansion. CoinList, a platform for token listings with 10 million users, will conduct a token launch workshop and continue to provide guidance after. They will also give your project some exposure to their large user base.
Applications to benefit from all this are open till Dec. 20.
Diving a bit more into the Sui network – it was launched by Mysten Labs in May 2023 and it’s known for its high-volume transaction capacity and quick transaction speeds. By September 2024, over 18.19 million accounts were active on it, and it had carried out over 4.58 billion transactions.
At one point, Sui held the record for highest number of transactions in a day among blockchains. Yes, no other blockchain had managed 65 million transactions in a day before Sui. However, Aptos, another blockchain that uses the Move programming language like Sui, broke this record later with 115.4 million transactions in a day.
This Move programming language was created for the Meta’s Diem coin project, and made open-source when Diem got dropped
